The key objectives of DMR:
- Spread awareness among the general public regarding prevention and mitigation of disasters.
- Train the volunteers and enroll them as members to participate in rescue and relief activities during disasters.
- Assist & co-ordinate with the Government departments during disasters.
- Research new methods of mitigation & prevention methods.
